President Trump just blasted ABC over Jimmy Kimmel being reinstated, even after ABC already paid out a $16 million settlement to him earlier this year. Does this kind of dynamic change how the media will deal with President Trump going forward? On one hand, paying settlements could be seen as just the “cost of doing business” with a litigious political figure. On the other hand, if he keeps attacking even after being paid, will networks see less incentive to cooperate or settle in the future?
